Deb Engelgau is an Ohio licensed acupuncturist and is nationally certified by NCCAOM. She received her training at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine by completing over 2200 hours of specialized training in Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and clinical practice. She also conducted a foreign internship in Beijing, China.
In 2013, Deb completed a year-long certification program in Sports Medicine Acupuncture in Boston, MA taught by Matt Callison. She uses advanced techniques for assessing and treating biomechanical disorders and injuries. All types of musculoskeletal pain and injury are treated with a potent combination of acupuncture, postural analysis, massage and corrective exercise. She is the only acupuncturist in Ohio to hold this certification.
Most recently, Deb completed training for, and now offers, "Frequency-Specific Microcurrent" therapy. It mimics the electrical processes that occur naturally in nerves, but the patient cannot feel the current because it is so small and below our sensory perception. Microcurrent has typically been used to increase the rate of healing in injured athletes, control pain, and treat myofascial pain and dysfunction, but it can treat so much more including, uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts, abdominal adhesions, nerve pain, and so much more.

- The treatment of acute and chronic pain, utilizing a combination of traditional acupuncture and more precise motor point locations (the entrance site of the motor nerve into the muscle).
- Sports injuries, utilizing manual muscle testing, acupuncture and motor point locations, and muscle release techniques.
- Gynecological and infertility issues by working in partnership with a practitioner of Maya Abdominal massage.
